Tools
If you've got GIMP version 2.3.5 and you find a script you think might be really cool but it's for a previous version, try the script update tool in our tools section.
The Goal
gm-invert applies different kinds of color inversion to the image. The script registers 4 different inversion techniques in the script-fu menu:
- script-fu/lasm's FX effects/Colors/Color Invert1
- script-fu/lasm's FX effects/Colors/Color Invert2
- script-fu/lasm's FX effects/Colors/Light Invert
- script-fu/lasm's FX effects/Colors/Asymmetric/Solarize
Color Invert1 inverts the hues of the images but not the lightness values. Hover your mouse over the image below to see the result of Color Invert1.
Color Invert2 inverts the lightness of the images as well as the hue values. Hover your mouse over the image below to see the result of Color Invert2.
Light Invert inverts the lightness of the images but not the hue values. Hover your mouse over the image below to see the result of Light Invert.
Solarize applies a solarization effect to the image. Hover your mouse over the image below to see the result of Light Invert. Check out the reference section on the right panel to learn more about solarization.
